We say we’re different. We act a bit different. But are we really different? Well - if you take our biggest sale of the year (hot tip - it’s this one) - we’re bloody different. Welcome to Give Friday. We’re giving 40% OFF sitewide as well as donating 5% to charity. Stick that in ya’ pipe!

The below has been written by an unidentified person within Black Sheep. It’s late on a Saturday Night. There may be a new bottle of Tasmanian Gin opened, and the imagination is running wild. Strap yourself in, folks!

People will be incredibly excited - then incredibly disappointed when they miss out. There will be tears. People also ask us the same questions every time we do one of these events. The below is a list of REAL Frequently Asked Questions. Some are funny, some are sad, and some are a little repetitive. So we present our Give Friday FAQs as a blatant attempt to say, 'I told ya so!'. Enjoy.

It’s time for you to give a FAQ!

Whether it's your first rodeo, or even if you're a veteran, a Black Sheep Sale is quite the experience. Lots of people. Lots of emotions. This page is all about avoiding those moments where you are a blabbering mess, or hurling abuse at us or a loved one!

I’m a bit sensitive and easily triggered. Should I read on?

Probably not.

I’ve read these FAQs before - why should I read more?

Shit - tough crowd from the start. Well - it’s up to you - but you can stay for the laughs. If we were to be completely honest, the statistics would say that you are one of the many that think you know everything and then ask us the same stupid question. So bite ya' lip, grab a glass of milk, and read on.

Give Friday. I don’t get it?

It’s our cute way of saying not everything is about you, bro! Look - you’re still getting the best offer we can give you - 40% OFF sitewide. On top of that, and more importantly for us, we are donating an extra 5% to LIVIN - our MR Initiative Charity focused on Mental Health awareness and education. You Get and We Give. Not hugely complicated to wrap your head around.

Where does the money go? Like - really?

Sounds like you have trust issues. It all goes to LIVIN. Last year we donated around $50k to Lifeline and $50k to the Women’s Sports Foundation as part of Give Friday. It’s a thing we do!

So - do I physically have to give any money?

Nup. We take care of all of it. You are not paying anything extra, nor are we making it any more difficult.

Can I donate more?

You absolutely can - but not through us. Our Web Team went down that rabbit hole, only to be told it was too confusing. Just jump onto livin.org/donate and you can do a once off, or a repeat donation.

Can I donate less?

Nup. You’re probably in the wrong place if you’re asking that question! Seriously dude - you’re not losing anything - and you’re helping someone other than yourself!

How much did you raise last time?

We raised around $50k for Lifeline Australia and $50k for the Women’s Sports Foundation. That’s a f^&kload for a small business like Black Sheep. We’re incredibly proud of it. We’ve partnered with LIVIN because we want to know where it goes, how it’s used, and hopefully the lives it changes.

Is this just more greenwashing?

Technically - this wouldn’t be greenwashing. Save that for our competitors marketing themselves as sustainable trailblazers because they are using a few recycled poyester fabrics, whilst forgetting about the thousand airfreighted small production runs they did last month [Ok - the 3rd G&T might be kicking in]. Seriously - we get ya! We’re over all the over-hyped, ultra-commercialised BS out there as well. We’ve been guilty of it and it’s made us dry heave. Give Friday for us is real. It’s about our MR Initiative - an initiative for Mental Health that we started in 2016. It hits home for us, and we desperately want to make a difference in people’s lives.

I am so frigging excited - how do I get involved earlier?

Chances are that if you’re reading this FAQ then you’ve signed up to be notified first. If you haven’t, head here. We’ll be giving everyone on our database a 48-hour head start. Aside from that, there is some really good PE meds that will help you contain all that excitement before the big moment!

It's 12pm AEST, Wednesday 2nd November - and it's not live?

Chances are, it's not. 12pm AEST is Brisbane, Queensland, Australia time. We promise we're not lying. Here is proof.

What will be on sale? Like - just your shit stuff or something?

We’ve never made anything shit in our life. Lol. This is sitewide with the exception o our latest ESSENTIALS styles that we released a couple of weeks ago. Aside from that, our most popular product will be on sale, our most expensive, our least expensive, and eveything in between.

I purchased 6 years ago - can I send this stuff back and get a refund for Give Friday?

Can’t figure out if you’re joking - but no - no refunds for purchases made before Give Friday. Just know that you are getting an amazing deal, and that you are also helping others.

OMG. The Sale is Live!

The sale is going live. Stuff is happening. It feels like one of those scenes where shit is flying everywhere. Your heart rate is through the roof. And things are just not working. Never fear - we've done this once or twice.

I’m trying to use 5 discount codes all together, why is it not working?

Kudos for you for having the balls to try! But no other discount codes are applicable during the sale!

I’ve buggered up my order, can I change or cancel it?

Unfortunately, once an order has been placed it cannot be changed or cancelled. Once you receive your order you may return any items that are not marked final sale. Take a look at our full returns policy here.

I put something in my cart, and it’s gone. I hate you guys!

Alright. We make clothing, mate. Calm down. Secondly, we literally have no control of this. Our website is run on the Shopify Platform, and it allocates product on a first come, first served basis. That product is only guaranteed after checkout is complete. During this sale, we experience 100x our typical website traffic. People are literally buying the same product as you - and whilst we try and mitigate this with sufficient stock, and emergency stock, this can and will happen. If it goes down, then please jump back in and see if there is anything else you would like. Then, when all the dust is settled (normally a couple of weeks post sale), drop us an email and we’ll see if we can locate what you originally wanted.

When will shipping occur?

Dispatch of orders will take place throughout the sale with an express service. Orders during Give Friday are typically dispatched within 24 to 72 hours but please allow up to 5-7 business days.

To ensure we can handle your enquiry as quickly as possible, please email our Customer Support team only once, including your name and order number in the subject line. When you send more than one email this unfortunately moves your initial enquiry to the back of the customer service queue. My friend has their order, where is mine?

If someone you know placed their order after you, but received their package first, never fear. Our warehouse dispatch team batches orders chronologically, but also according to product types. This helps streamline the dispatch process. Rest assured, your order is on it’s way, just keep your eye on your inbox.

I am missing some items in my order. Help!

Due to stock availability within our warehouses, your order may be dispatched in separate packages. Do not worry. You will receive an email from our Customer Support Team to notify you, if this is the case.

Can I return some items from the sale?

Please choose wisely. As styles usually sell out, in the instance of an exchange we are unfortunately unable to guarantee that your required size will be available post-sale. In the event that your replacement size is unavailable, you will be offered a store credit minus any shipping fees (original and return).
