Inspired by the colourful, murky world of Keirin.

LIMITED TOKYO pays tribute to a sport the Japanese invented. No, not judo. But the flamboyant, occasionally murky world of Keirin – a track cycling discipline that originated in Japan three years after the end of World War II. And is infamous in the land of the Rising Sun. The riders well-paid heroes. The sport as colourful off the velodrome as it is on it – Keirin continues to occupy an uneasy place in the Japanese sporting landscape because of its association with violence, allegations of race-fixing and illegal betting.

And that's just part of what inspired us to create LIMITED Tokyo that pays homage to the sport’s colour and sub-culture, as well as traditional Japanese prints.

No Japanese Keirin die-hard would be seen dead in a bandana. But we didn’t think there would be much interest in a disused betting slip.

A trans-seasonal collection, LIMITED Tokyo includes summer-weight jerseys built on our Essential Team Collection and highly graphic, heavily Kanji-branded Micro Capsule Jackets and Thermal Jerseys from our ELEMENTS Collection. To complete your Kierin-inspired look, we’ve developed a Seigaiha-style wave pattern bandana (ironically very useful as a face mask) and the ubiquitous cycling casquette.
