Long after most of Brisbane was in bed, the city's cycling community was engaging in some hot racing, fast fun and good times a plenty. The inaugural Night Riders by Racing Club + Black Sheep went off. Big time. Green Beacon got slammed. Phatboys food truck fed a frenzied crowd. Levi Birks rocked 'em. And the racing went large. There were thrills. One spill. And smiles all round.
What was a fledging, slightly madcap idea just a matter of months, maybe even weeks, ago, had all of a sudden become a very brilliant reality on the Friday night just passed in Albion, Brisbane. As with everything we do at Black Sheep, the thanks goes to you – our spirited, enthusiastic community. You ignored the naysayers, dismissed those scared of the dark and snubbed the riders in the middle of massive training blocks to come out in your droves and enjoy a fun evening out. You owned the night. You made the night. Until next time … good night.
